AFROPUNK Atlanta is an evolving, open cultural space and it will feature extraordinary music, art, film, conversations, food and the honest expression of youthful Black concerns by the leading voices. An inspiring cornucopia of culture, offers sights, sounds, and perspectives.

PLANET AFROPUNK will be a culmination of the triumph of the human will in 2021, it will be a celebration of how we were able to pick ourselves up and celebrate US!

AFROPUNK Joburg will bring together the vibrancy of a limited LIVE audience with the hyper connectivity of a larger digital family to celebrate New Year’s Eve in a huge global spectacular.

She is the CEO and Founder of Out of Many Media LLC, a multi - media production house which focuses on intersectionality and creating inclusive spaces for POC, LGBTQIA+, and womxn narratives in media with a special emphas is on the Afro."Home" appears here with support from the BlackLight Initiative, a partnership between AFROPUNK, Whalar Agency, and Fresh Tape Media.

Filmmaker John Carluccio delivers an intimate portrait of a trailblazing African American entertainer who navigates the highs and lows of his lengthy showbiz career, and a complex relationship with his superstar brother, Gregory Hines.

Jeredon O'Conner

Jeredon O’Conner is a multi-hyphenate filmmaker who focuses on the intersection of Black culture and creativity. Jeredon freelances as a director, cinematographer, editor, and producer in Los Angeles for companies such as Wieden+Kennedy, 72andSunny, Hecho Studios, Prodigi Arts, Atlantic Records, Raedio, and Issa Rae Productions. Artemus Jenkins is an award winning filmmaker who has used the documentary format to innovatively capture the raw and beautiful aspects black culture. He has blazed a trail in the digital filmmaking space through work on his strip club culture docuseries, “Power of Pussy” (P.O.P.), his documentary detailing the lives and history of black tattoo artists, “Color Outside the Lines”, and his work with H.E.R. for the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards."Piece" was produced with support from the BlackLight Initiative, a partnership between AFROPUNK, Whalar Agency, and Fresh Tape Media.

Streetside Flower

Director’s Statement: Streetside Flower is a film for anyone aspiring to do anything. You don’t have to be a painter, or even an artist, to understand Luke Best. Our talents are our blessings, but this film is a reminder that they are also our burdens. We forget that the things in this world that bring us the most joy, can also bring us the most adversity. A lot of us spend our lives knocking on doors, selling ourselves in search of a warm welcome into the life that we choose, before we knew all of the choices that we had. Streetside Flower illustrates the story of a person who finally stopped knocking, and became inspired to build something of their own.
